Is Mets star joining Juan Soto meetings this week?

The pursuit of Juan Soto begins this week as Mets owner Steve Cohen mets with the superstar outfielder and his agent, Scott Boras, in California.
On Sunday night, Mets star Francisco Lindor was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport (as documented by TMZ), sparking the question of whether he would take part in the meetings. According to the New York Post, Lindor was in Los Angeles for a photoshoot with Oakley and is now home in Florida.
It would not have been surprising if Lindor was part of the Mets contingent meeting with Soto and Boras after an ESPN report this week that the shortstop is helping recruit Soto to the Mets.
According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Mets have “gotten a hand” from Lindor, and he has “taken a role in recruiting Soto.”
Passan also noted that Lindor “would love another star in Queens.”
Passan reported on Monday that the Toronto Blue Jays have the first meeting scheduled with Soto and Boras this week. NJ Advance Media’s Randy Miller has also reported on the Blue Jays’ interest over the past couple of months. The Yankees also have a meeting set up with Soto this month.
